In the morning, the pure benzene offer for July and August in Asia was 805 yuan / ton FOB Korea, and the offer for August was 830 yuan / ton. In the afternoon, pure benzene was offered to US $815 / T in July, and there was no offer. In the spot market, a single order of pure benzene in July was sold at US $820 / T FOB Korea, with MBK selling to Daewoo. The aromatics unit in kertih, Malaysia, was shut down for maintenance on May 27 and is expected to restart in mid June. Due to the oversupply of pure benzene in Southeast Asia, many downstream users need pure benzene postponed to July.
